Welcome to craps, an exciting dice game played in casinos around the world. Though the craps tables found at most casinos are filled with loud players and onlookers, our game will consist of two players, you and the computer.
Play consists of two rounds, a come-out round, and then a secondary round. In our game, there are two personalities: the "shooter", who rolls the dice, and the non-shooter. You may choose which role you will play during each round by clicking the checkbox found later in the page.
During the come-out round, if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, the shooter wins. If a 2, 3, or 12 is rolled, the non-shooter wins, and any other outcome becomes the "point", i.e., the value to match on subsequent tosses. Following the come-out roll, the dice are tossed until the point is rolled, in which case, the shooter wins, or until a 7 is rolled, in which case the shooter loses.
To play, specify the amount of money that you'd like to bet on this round, check the checkbox if you'd like to be the shooter (though we'll roll the dice for you), and then click the 'play' button.
