Because of the nature of the course, you
will not be taught everything in class and, instead, will be expected to
learn things on your own. To that end... Students should ask each other for help and use websites and the class Discussion Group (in Blackboard) as references. Students are even welcome to borrow code from elsewhere as long as they comment the code accordingly. Be sensible, though, about what you copy. Copying 100+ lines is not acceptable. You should be helping each other learn small techniques. You should not be doing a project completely (or mostly) for another person. When in doubt, please ask me if it's ok. |
It is a good idea
always to give written acknowledgement
when another person provides you with code or other help and support.
It creates good will and
trust, and you won't regret it!
